Additional funds, over and above yearly membership dues, are a necessary requirement for the club to operate successfully. Corporate and Individual sponsorships are a critical component to our fundraising efforts. Please reference our brochure (PDF format) for sponsorship packages available.
The money raised from sponsors will be used for the following purposes:
- Provide financial assistance to athletes/families that cannot afford the competitor's card (secondary insurance) which is required by the national wrestling body. Idaho Rattlers Wrestling Club also waives the club registration dues.
- Provide financial assistance (travel and registration) for athletes, coaches, and officials who attend regional and national wrestling tournaments.
- Provide new equipment and/or supplies to the Eagle and Rocky Mountain High School wrestling programs. These schools allow our wrestling club to use their facilities free of charge.
- Provide paid coaching staff for the middle school and high school age athletes. This age level requires skilled, confident, disciplined coaches. These coaches must commit to coaching at practice a minimum of two nights each week from February thru May 1; and must attend/coach at wrestling tournaments every Friday and Saturday from March thru July.
- Provide training opportunities for the coaches and officials.
- Purchase necessary equipment for the wrestling club. Medical equipment, instructional videos, and digital scales are some examples. A high quality electronic scale that weighs to the nearest 1/10th pound will cost approximately $500.
- Provide reduced pricing for custom singlets (the athlete's competition uniform) to wrestling club athletes. Custom singlets can cost $45 - $90 each.
- Provide fun 'off the mat' opportunities for the athletes and their families.
